ItzMizo: Trying to Make a Move

ItzMizo: Making Music That Moves You

For ItzMizo, music isn’t just sound—it’s movement, energy, and inspiration. Born and raised in Orlando, Florida, he’s carving out his lane with a blend of vibrant hip-hop and personal influence, all built on the idea that music should make you feel something—especially joy.

“What pulled me into music was an artist named XXXTentacion,” Mizo says. “He inspired me a lot. Part of my journey started with freestyling at school, letting people hear it.” But the turning point came when his friend ItzMelo encouraged him to take things seriously. “He really put me on to the music career and helped me grow.”

That growth is evident in every beat and bar. While he draws some influence from NBA YoungBoy, ItzMizo’s core goal is to bring a danceable, energetic vibe to his music. “Something that influences my sound is hip-hop that can get you dancing.” And that energy is what sets him apart in a scene that often leans too heavy or too serious.

But the journey hasn’t been without its challenges. “Trying to make all types of genres and getting my music to reach more people,” he explains, is an ongoing battle. Still, the drive is there—and the sound keeps evolving.

More than anything, Mizo wants people to understand what his music is meant to do: move them. “I want people to understand how music gets them dancing,” he says plainly—and there’s beauty in that simplicity.

As for what’s next? “A bunch of music videos,” he promises. With more visuals on the way, ItzMizo is looking to connect, entertain, and spread good energy—all while leveling up his sound and reach.

In a world full of heavy hearts and heavy bars, ItzMizo reminds us that sometimes, music’s most powerful job is to make us move.
